Media Coverage & Filming

This page provides information on media coverage and filming (TV, commercials, radio, newspapers, web, magazines, commercial use, etc.) at the Izu Shaboten Zoo Group facilities.

Process for Coverage & Filming

Please contact us by phone. TEL.0557-51-1115 (Closed on weekends and holidays)

Please send our filming application form and project plan (and other materials) by email.
Our PR department will contact you by phone or email.

Please note that coverage and filming cannot be conducted without a response from us. We may also decline requests depending on the project content.

We do not grant approval after the fact for any filming conducted without prior permission, including requests submitted after filming has taken place. (This includes commercial use.)

Approval may take some time from application to filming. We may decline requests when the period from application to the filming date is too short.

  • Site visit / location scouting (※We may not be able to accommodate requests on the filming day if no prior visit is conducted.)
  • Coverage and filming (Our staff will accompany you.)
  • Payment of filming fee (We will issue an invoice; please pay by bank transfer. Transfer fees: borne by the filming party.)
  • We will announce the coverage on our website, Facebook, etc.
  • If possible, please send us DVDs, published materials, etc.

With the rapid spread of the web, we are seeing an increase in cases of unlicensed filming and use of photos—whether for commercial purposes or not—as well as worsening manners during filming.
As a result, we have had to implement filming bans and restrictions.

We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

  • We decline requests for joint projects, events, and coverage/filming with parties other than corporate entities. Please understand this in advance.
  • Live streaming on SNS within IZU SHABOTEN ZOO GROUP is prohibited. (Including commercial use.)
  • We do not allow SNS posts for commercial purposes. Exceptions apply when special permission has been obtained.
  • We do not allow any filming that inconveniences general visitors. We also do not allow the inclusion of persons who have not been granted permission in footage.
    We are not responsible for any posts by persons who have not obtained permission.
  • Drone flying is prohibited at all IZU SHABOTEN ZOO GROUP facilities. This includes drones that take off from or land within the premises, as well as those that fly in from outside. If a drone in flight is found, the operator will be required to delete the footage and pay a fine of JPY 300,000.
  • Photography and video recording are permitted for personal use only.
    Even if the use was initially personal, we do not grant permission after the fact when the purpose later changes to commercial use.
    Depending on the situation, we may charge filming fees or penalties, or request cessation of use or removal of photos/videos.
